The monograph examines the factors limiting the technological base of wind power engineering and the methods for overcoming them across all stages – from design to operation of wind power installations and systems. New calculation methods and approaches to modifying and designing wind turbines based on energy-efficiency optimization are proposed. Numerous designs of new and modified wind turbines based on the author’s patented inventions are presented, reflecting development trends in wind power systems. Frequency regulation characteristics and stabilization algorithms for autonomous hybrid power plants with wind generators and energy storage under rapidly changing loads are analyzed.
